Personal/Professional history:
I am a licensed clinical social worker specializing in individual and couples counseling. Since
receiving my Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Loyola University of Chicago in 1991,
I have worked as a psychotherapist in a wide variety of clinical settings including; Emergency
Services at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, outpatient mental health clinics, hospice care, and
private practice.
After working in private practice for 15 years in Chicago, my husband and I moved our family of
four to southeastern Wisconsin in order to more easily access the beauty of Geneva Lake and
the surrounding area. It was a “true north” decision that we are so glad we made. Whether its
hiking, boating, skiing, or just walking the new “Covid puppy” on the lake path, we all do our
best to enjoy the outdoors.
As a psychotherapist I am led by a set of core values and guiding principles. I deeply appreciate
the resiliency of the human spirit. I respect the inherent dignity of each person. I support client’s motives to make their own choices and decisions in the pursuit of self-determination
and self-care. Therapy is an opportunity for growth and change; a time to rekindle hope,
harness personal strength, and to learn from life’s challenges. I consider it a privilege to work
with individuals to help them navigate life’s challenges.
Mission Statement:
I am passionate about inspiring others to discover their way and to find the courage to follow their path. There are so many life challenges that make it difficult to stay on a healthy path; triggers from the past, relationship demands in the present, illness, fear, etc. I am committed to creating a confidential and safe space for clients to find a true north that is aligned with who she or he is meant to be.
